What is the lowest amount of award miles I can use?

7,500 Miles & More award miles.
Can I make a booking for someone else using my award miles?

Yes, providing you make the reservation in their name. Remember that this person needs to meet the driver requirements (age, driver’s license, passport, credit card etc).
Can I use Miles & More award miles for special fleet like a minibus or a SUV’s?

Miles & More award miles can be used to pay towards all vehicles displayed on this site. This will vary based on pick-up country and location. Please check by entering location and dates required.
Can I use Miles & More award miles to upgrade my vehicle group?

No, you need to the book vehicle group that suits your needs.
Can I pick up the vehicle from one location and return it to another?

Yes. The system will show the fleet that is allowed for one-way rentals and will calculate the additional one-way fee to the rental. This can be paid with Miles & More award miles, providing there is sufficient award miles balance.
Can I pay the additional driver fee with Miles & More award miles?

The additional driver fee must be paid at the pick-up location with your credit card. The additional driver will also need to present a valid driving license during the pick-up.
Can I pay additional equipment such as a child seat, a NeverLost Navigation system etc. with Miles & More award miles?

No, but you can select these items when booking your vehicle. Payment will take place at the counter at the time of pick up.
Can I get my vehicle delivered to my hotel?

On Miles & More redemption, rentals the vehicle must be picked-up from a Hertz location.
Can I pick up my vehicle after hours?

On Miles & More redemption, rentals the pick-up must take place during our office opening hours.
What is the lead time for using Miles & More award miles?

This varies between locations and vehicles. Quite often the minimum booking time is 2 hours before the pick-up time.

Please check the Hertz site for the rental requirements, qualifications and policies.
Can Hertz reservation centres modify / cancel these Miles & More reservations?

No, cancellations must be made through this site, if you need to change the reservation you will need to cancel the original reservation and rebook.
What happens if I need to cancel my reservation?

Your Miles & More reward miles will be refunded providing you cancel on this site.
What happens if I do not cancel via this site?

In order to get your Miles & More award miles refunded you must cancel through this site. Cancellations must be made through this redemption website. If reservations are cancelled through another channel miles / points will not be refunded.
Are there cancellation fees/times?

There are no cancelations fees and you can cancel any time before the pick -up date.
I have made a reservation, but I cannot see it on the main Hertz website

Because you have paid with award miles the reservation isn’t accessible on the main Hertz website.

Pick up & during the rental

What documents are required at time of pick-up?

A valid driving license and credit card. If the pick-up is abroad a passport or ID is also required.
Will the branch staff know I have redeemed Miles & More award miles to pay or part pay for my rental?

The branch staff will see a voucher amount corresponding to the value of the award miles redeemed which will be deducted from the total due.
How or when should I inform the pick-up location if I am planning to drive across the border?

This needs to be disclosed at the time of pick-up. Additional charges may apply and there may be restrictions. Please check the Hertz policy in the rental requirements and qualifications.
If I need to return my vehicle earlier that originally agreed, will I get award miles returned to my account?

No, if the rental is shorter than originally booked, Miles & More award miles will not get refunded.
If I want to extend my rental, can I use more Miles & More award miles for that?

Not if you have already picked up the vehicle. If not, you can cancel the reservation and rebook on this site.
